Homeschool PE that really rocks! UpTown Climbing in Baton Rouge offers exclusive discounts for homeschool students, three days a week. Come learn and experience the incredible sport of rock climbing at Louisiana's premier climbing facility. 

Your Child Gets:

Homeschool Hours:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 11am–2pm

  • Not available during summer, holidays, or holiday weeks

How to Sign Up:

  • No registration required — just visit during Homeschool Hours

  • First-time visitors: complete a quick orientation and review our rules

  • Bringing a large first-time group? Please call ahead so we can manage check-in wait times

* EVERYONE must have a current Visitors Agreement, even those not wishing to climb, such as spectators & parents. Only parents or court appointed guardians may complete a Visitors Agreement on behalf of a minor. Please read, understand, & complete it in advance, online here.

Also Important:

  • A 1-adult-to-3-child supervision ratio is required children may only climb under an adult's direct supervision. This may mean only 1 child on the wall at a time unless on the speed wall or boulder wall.

  • The supervising adult must complete a facility orientation

  • Open to school-age children, ages 5–17

  • No proof required! Just come during Homeschool Hours (Tue/Wed/Thu, 11am–2pm) and let us know you are here for Homeschool climbing.

  • Rock climbing is a great fit for a PE curriculum. Climbing builds strength, balance, and problem-solving. It is a great alternative to other traditional ball and team sports.

  • Yes! While parents are not eligible for the homeschool rate they may purchase a day pass and rental gear and climb alongside their kids.

  • No our discounted homeschool rate is only available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11am–2pm excluding summers and holidays.
